Put both hands on your hips(Akimbo) and tighten your chest muscles. With hands still on your hips, bend forward.
Feel for any unusual Lump, thickening or any change in your breast by using the pads of the three middle fingers of your hand, examine the opposite breast starting from under your arms, covering the whole breast, making small, smal circle.
First press lightly, then increase the pressure.
This examination is better done under shower.
It can also be done lying down:
  • Place a pillow or folded towel under your shoulder.
  • Put your right hand under your head.
  • Lotion or powder may help the fingers slide over the skin.
